What Does SB 1092 Require of Baylor’s Leadership?

Senator Kel Seliger’s bill, SB 1092, would require the Baylor Board of Regents to:

• Open each meeting of the governing board to the public;
• Broadcast the meeting and publish the minutes of meetings on the university’s website;
• Publish all governing documents online, such as:
  • Bylaws, codes of conduct, confidentiality agreements, conflict of interest policies, or operating procedures;
• Disclose committee membership and changes to the public;
• Lastly, Board members would be restricted from entering into nondisclosure agreements in regards to open meetings.
